This Agreement is one of the important Annex in completion of the precedent conditions to the Concession Agreement, which was signed on February 10, 2011. The Land Lease Agreement with the lease term of 30 years, including 5 years of construction and 25 years of operation, will create good conditions for the Project to be developed effectively and on planned schedule. Xekaman 1 Hydropower Project, with the total capacity of 322 MW and total investment capital of USD 441 million, is located on the Xekaman River in Laos southern province of Attapeu, about 75 kilometers from the Vietnam’s Central Highlands Kon Tum Province. The Project started its construction on March 06, 2011 and is expected to generate the Unit No.1 in early 2015.

On the same day, Viet-Lao Power Joint Stock Company presented the Feasibility Study report (FS) of Xekaman 4 Hydropower Project to the Government of Laos, which is expected to complete the investment procedures and start its construction in late 2012.
