Viet-Lao Power Joint Stock Company increases its charter capital up to 5,300 billion VND

At its extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held in late April, 2007, the shareholders voted 100% in favour of changing the name of the Company into “VIET-LAO POWER JOINT STOCK COMPANY” and increasing its charter capital from 1,080 billion VND up to 5,300 billion VND.

Viet-Lao Power Joint Stock Company was contributed equity by such powerful enterprises of Vietnam as Song Da Corporation (49% of the charter capital, equivalent to 2,597 billion VND), Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (11% - 583 billion VND), Electricity of Vietnam          (02% - 106 billion VND), PetroVietnam Power Corporation (10% - 530 billion VND), PetroVietnam Finance Company (11% - 583 billion VND), BIDV Securities Company Limited (10% - 530 billion VND), Song Da Urban Construction Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (06% - 318 billion VND), PetroVietnam Insurance Corporation (01% - 53 billion VND).

Also at this meeting, VLPC’s General Assembly of Shareholders decided that Civil Engineering Construction Corporation No.5, Civil Engineering Construction Corporation No.8, Mien Trung Construction Corporation, Industrial Zone and Urban Development and Investment Corporation discontinue participating in the Company as the shareholders of VLPC.
