VIETLAOPOWER ATTENDS SIGNING CEREMONY OF MOU ON FEASIBILITY STUDY OF 500KV LINE FROM SOUTHERN LAOS TO VIETNAM

On May 2, 2019, in Vientiane capital, Lao PDR, a delegation of VIETLAOPOWER led by Mr. Le Van Ton, Chairman of the Company attended the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Electricite Du Laos (EDL) and ACO/CONVALT ENERGY Investment Group of the US on cooperation in feasibility study of the 500kV Hatxan - Pleiku line project stretching from Southern Laos to Vietnam. Present at the ceremony were Mr. Thongphat Inthavong, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mines of Laos, Ms. Rena Bitter, US Ambassador to Laos and other leaders of Laos and the US.

Earlier on June 4, 2018, at Vientiane Plaza Hotel, Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR, VIETLAOPOWER and the US ACO/CONVALT ENERGY Investment Group solemnly signed the MOU on cooperation in investing and developing power sources and transmission systems in Lao PDR to supply electricity to Vietnam's grid, contributing to ensuring the country's energy security.
